Between rocky ridges high above of the college town of Fort Collins is the Horsetooth State Park and Reservoir. Inlet Bay Marina is on the west side. No pets. www.inletbaymarina.com
Chatfield Marina is in a state park and water reservoir of the South Platte River. The floating marina has boats and pontoons. No pets.
Boyd Lake State Park in Loveland has a 1,700 acre lake. Boyd Lake Marina has boats, canoes and pontoons.
In the foothills west of Loveland, Carter Lake covers 1,100 acres inside a Larimer County Park. The Carter Lake Marina has pontoons and fishing boats. No pets. www.carterlakemarina.com
West of downtown is Lake Pueblo State Park and the 4,500-acre lake fed by the Arkansas River. The South Shore Marina has pontoons for full-day rental only. No pets.
The North Shore Marina within Lake Pueblo State Park has a launch ramp, marine repair services, a restaurant and one rental pontoon. www.noshoremarina.com
Visitors entering Colorado on Interstate 76, can stop to enjoy a sunset boat ride at North Sterling State Park. The PJ Marina has pontoons and canoes. www.nsboatrental.com
In hills west of Colorado Springs is 11 Mile State Park near the town of Lake George. The 11 Mile Marina is at the park entrance. Fishing boats, canoes and pontoons. No pets.
